3. Homepage Settings
The MoreNews theme allows you to configure your homepage in different ways depending on how you want to display your content. You can choose between Latest Posts, a Static Homepage, or a Custom Homepage built with page builders.
3.1 Latest Posts
The Latest Posts layout is the default homepage style. It displays all your recent posts in a list layout by default, but you can switch it to grid or full-width.
To set Latest Posts as the homepage:
- Go to Appearance > Customizer > Homepage Settings > Latest Posts.
To change the layout:
- Navigate to Appearance > Customizer > Theme Options > Archive Options > Layout.
To adjust the homepage design (alignment):
- Go to Appearance > Customizer > Frontpage Option > Frontpage Content Alignment

3.2 A Static Homepage
A Static Homepage lets you design your homepage using widget sections provided by the theme. You can add widgets to the Frontpage Content and Frontpage Sidebar areas to build a custom layout.
To set a Static Homepage:
- Go to Appearance > Customizer > Homepage Settings.
- Select A Static Page.
- Choose a page for your Homepage and another for your Posts (Blog) Page.
To add widgets to your homepage:
- Navigate to Appearance > Customizer > Widgets and add widgets under Frontpage Content and Frontpage Sidebar.
To adjust homepage design (alignment):
- Go to Appearance > Customizer > Frontpage Option > Frontpage Content Alignment

3.3 Custom Homepage
If you prefer complete design freedom, you can build a Custom Homepage using popular page builders like Gutenberg, Elementor, Brizy, or Divi.
With Theme Header:
- Create or edit your homepage.
- Set it as a Static Homepage (via Customizer > Homepage Settings).
- In the Page Settings (right sidebar), select the template: Page Builder Full Width.
- (Optional) Remove the Main Banner from the Customizer if you don’t want it displayed.
Without Theme Header:
- Create or edit your homepage.
- Set it as a Static Homepage (via Customizer > Homepage Settings).
- In the Page Settings (right sidebar), select the template: Blank Canvas.
👉 This gives you flexibility to design your homepage exactly the way you want—whether with the default layouts, widget-based structure, or a fully customized page builder layout.
